Vision
Suzanne Nurse’s vision for students is:
- To achieve academic success and prepare for post-secondary education.
- To enter the workforce fully prepared to contribute to our country’s economic development.
- To positively impact our community.
To achieve this, here are the priorities Suzanne intends to pursue:
- Minimize student transitions across elementary and middle schools by advocating for more Kindergarten to Grade 8 schools.
- Work with fellow Trustees to introduce specialized programs for our students to provide a greater variety of academic options.
- Continue engagement with Trustees and parent communities to persuade the Ministry of Education to re-examine and adjust the school funding formula to meet changing needs within Peel region.
- Drive the ongoing alignment of resources to increase Peel students’ EQAO test scores.
- Encourage the delivery of differentiated classroom instruction so that all students have a chance of success.
- Partner with community groups, city and provincial officials to proactively address larger community issues that may negatively affect the delivery of educational services.
- And, most important, passionately advocate for you and your children to have the best educational experience possible.
If you share Suzanne’s vision for our students future, We respectfully ask for your vote. On October 25th, let’s give our children A Better Chance to succeed!
