Suzanne – I would like to wish you every success as you start your campaign for re-election. Your passion and commitment to public education is apparent in every aspect of your work. Over the years as I have gotten to know you my regard for your drive and determination have only grown. In addition to pushing for excellence in education I have found a great ally in you through the challenges my family have encountered in meeting our needs in the area of Special Education. Whenever I encountered a problem you were always at the other end of the phone or promptly answering an email.
I have also enjoyed our many encounters in the world of volunteering. You are always ready to attend and support community events with a friendly presence. From first getting to know you at the Parent Involvement Committee, to attending events we put on for seniors in the community, your name comes up as a “must invite”. Your commitment to your family and the community stands as an example for many in our diverse population to copy. Best of luck!!
-Savi Khanna – Parent
Over the past several years I have been able to work with Suzanne at three different schools, covering elementary, middle and secondary. Every year she has attended council meetings, bringing important information to schools and responding to parents concerns. I have also seen her in attendance at various assemblies and school activities, so students are getting to know her as well. Suzanne is very approachable and responds quickly when a concern is raised. She participates on many committees of the Board and is interested in improving education for all students.
— Elizabeth Giesbrecht, Former Heart Lake School Council Secretary and Former Robert H. Lagerquist School Council Secretary
Suzanne listens and takes action with a determined focus on education while representing her community with integrity. Her voice at the table demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and true commitment to education. Suzanne understands the educational needs of her community and she has built a strong network of resources and relationships that ensure strong representation at the Peel DSB. Her community has been well served by her work ethic and leadership skills.

I do thank you so much for everything you have done for our community and especially our children. If anyone ever asks about what I think of my trustee, I will shout out loud that you seem to be the only one that cares or even goes above and beyond your duties. We are very lucky to have you on our side.
We always appreciate your visible and sustained support of this event (Peel Mock Trials). Your appearance does not go unnoticed. I hope that this year voters will again “reward” you and send you back to us given the passion and commitment that you bring to the role of trustee. You remain a powerful (in the best sense of that word) role model for all our students…and our staff.
On behalf of —School Council, I wanted to thank you for attending our last meeting. I think the message was important and the school has sent a letter home with report cards today that can be signed and sent on. Your ongoing support is sincerely appreciated.
I just want to thank you for what you have done to help our son. He is much happier and so are we.
I wanted to thank you for your concern when I spoke to you earlier today about the busing issue with — Secondary School. While talking to various people in the school board/government not one person expressed concern about kids safety. You were the only person who did and I want to thank you.
