Suzanne Nurse is an experienced Trustee committed to shaping our educational system into an exciting, innovative, and challenging environment for our students. For the past four years Suzanne has represented Wards 2, 9, and 10, the largest constituency in Peel region. Due to ward redistribution, Suzanne will be seeking re-election in Wards 2 and 6.
She is a strong advocate for students and parents and has developed a reputation for producing results. Some of her accomplishments include:

Suzanne’s focus is on working within the Peel District School Board (PDSB) to provide each student with A Better Chance to be in a productive environment and inspire a love of learning.
If you share Suzanne’s vision of preparing this generation to successfully compete on the world stage, re-elect Suzanne Nurse for school board Trustee. She gets the job done.

Peel Region’s rapid growth has resulted in financial and school management challenges. Successful school systems require the involvement of parents, city officials, educators and accountable school board representation. Suzanne Nurse has partnered with city officials as well as other board Trustees to maintain an ongoing dialogue about the issues in the school system and the necessary steps to resolve them. She is an actively engaged Trustee, who supports youth in reaching their full potential.
Research has shown that reading, writing and math scores need to improve in our region and that there is an overall national decline in science and technology university entrants. With a competitive edge, we can advance in the global marketplace. The curriculum needs to be realigned to focus on the basics and increase the scores, without neglecting other areas of learning. Suzanne Nurse will continue to work hard to remove the barriers and pave the way for our young people to excel.
Brampton is a culturally diverse city with a diversity of needs. It is important for us as individuals and families, to have easier access to information addressing our unique needs. Over the past four years, Suzanne Nurse has demonstrated a commitment to increasing parental knowledge and awareness of issues affecting our young people. Suzanne is your link to accessing resources in order to secure a successful future for our youth.

I do thank you so much for everything you have done for our community and especially our children. If anyone ever asks about what I think of my trustee, I will shout out loud that you seem to be the only one that cares or even goes above and beyond your duties. We are very lucky to have you on our side.

We always appreciate your visible and sustained support of this event (Peel Mock Trials). Your appearance does not go unnoticed. I hope that this year voters will again “reward” you and send you back to us given the passion and commitment that you bring to the role of trustee. You remain a powerful (in the best sense of that word) role model for all our students…and our staff.
